What we fit in Canterbury
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
Typical scopes of work
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Canterbury must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Questions from businesses in Canterbury
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Kent?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Kent to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Canterbury site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Canterbury premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
