What we fit in Caerphilly
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Typical scopes of work
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Caerphilly must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Sites in and around Caerphilly vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Questions from businesses in Caerphilly
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Mid Glamorgan?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Mid Glamorgan to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How often should strip curtains in Caerphilly be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Caerphilly?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
