Options that matter on site
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
Typical scopes of work
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Risca must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Most installations in Risca can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Risca site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
How often should strip curtains in Risca be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Risca?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Risca in writing after a free survey.
