The short version
Strip curtains are the simplest way to part-close a busy opening in Pontypridd (CF37). Hook-on strips make wear easy to deal with, ribbed strips cope with forklifts, and polar grades keep working in freezers.

What to specify
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
Typical scopes of work
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Wales
The business running the site in Pontypridd must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
For busy sites in Mid Glamorgan the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Pontypridd?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Pontypridd?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
How often should strip curtains in Pontypridd be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
