What to specify
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
What this work can involve
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.

Questions from businesses in Merthyr Tydfil
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Merthyr Tydfil?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Merthyr Tydfil in writing after a free survey.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Merthyr Tydfil premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Merthyr Tydfil site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
