Options that matter on site
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Newark-on-Trent must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Newark-on-Trent can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Nottinghamshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Nottinghamshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Newark-on-Trent premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Newark-on-Trent?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
