What we fit in Ketton

Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.

Jobs we can carry out

Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.

Traffic route rules that apply in Ketton

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

How the work is organised

For busy sites in Rutland the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Ketton site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Rutland?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Rutland to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.

Which strip curtain grade suits our Ketton premises?

Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
