What we fit in Kingston upon Thames

No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.

Examples of work we can quote for

Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.

Keeping strip curtains safe in England

The business running the site in Kingston upon Thames must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

Keeping your site running during the work

Most installations in Kingston upon Thames can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Questions from businesses in Kingston upon Thames

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Greater London?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Greater London to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.

How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Kingston upon Thames?

Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Kingston upon Thames site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
