What to specify
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
What this work can involve
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Rushden must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
Most installations in Rushden can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

PVC strip curtains in Rushden: your questions
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Rushden?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Rushden in writing after a free survey.
How often should strip curtains in Rushden be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Rushden site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
