What we fit in Burnham-on-Sea
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Typical scopes of work
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Burnham-on-Sea must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Burnham-on-Sea can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Questions from businesses in Burnham-on-Sea
Which strip curtain grade suits our Burnham-on-Sea premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Somerset?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Somerset to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Burnham-on-Sea?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
