Options that matter on site
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
Typical scopes of work
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Gateshead must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Keeping your site running during the work
Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

PVC strip curtains in Gateshead: your questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our Gateshead premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Tyne and Wear?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Tyne and Wear to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Gateshead?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
