Options for PVC strip curtains in Castleford

Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.

Jobs we can carry out

Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.

Traffic route rules that apply in Castleford

Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.

Questions from businesses in Castleford

Do strip curtains work in cold stores around West Yorkshire?

Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across West Yorkshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.

How much is a PVC strip curtain in Castleford?

Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Castleford in writing after a free survey.

Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Castleford site?

A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
