Options that matter on site

Controls. Buttons, key switches, remotes, induction loops or radar to suit your traffic.
Compact coil. The curtain coils above the opening, leaving ceilings free for lights and sprinklers.
Safety devices. Every powered door gets the safety functions its risk assessment calls for and is tested before handover.
Colour choice. Powder-coated RAL finishes to match cladding and building trims.
Weather seals. Brush or rubber guide seals and a rubber bottom seal against draughts and rain.

Jobs we can carry out

Fitting a compact insulated service door to a plant room to reduce the noise reaching neighbouring offices.
Installing an insulated roller door with induction loop activation on a busy internal forklift route.
Converting a hand-chained insulated roller door to electric operation with a safety edge and photocells.

Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Forres?

In Scotland, two sets of duties meet at a powered door. The installer who supplies or motorises it must hand over a door that meets the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, tested against BS EN 12453 and documented. The business in control of the premises must then maintain it: regulation 5 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 covers maintenance, and regulation 18 requires upward-opening doors to have a device that stops them falling back and powered doors to have features that prevent trapping.

Keeping your site running during the work

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Frequently asked questions

How long does insulated roller door installation take in Forres?

Most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day once the made-to-measure door has arrived. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote so you can plan around it.

Will an insulated roller door cut heating bills at our Forres premises?

It loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, especially with good seals and quick electric operation. How much you save depends on your building, heating system and how long the door stays open.

Is there enough headroom for an insulated roller door at our Forres unit?

The coil on an insulated curtain is larger than on a single-skin shutter, so we measure the space above the lintel on survey. Where headroom is very tight, the coil can sometimes be fitted outside the opening or a lower-profile option chosen.
