Options for PVC strip curtains in Consett
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
Jobs we can carry out
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Consett must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Access, phasing and timing
Sites in and around Consett vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

PVC strip curtains in Consett: your questions
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around County Durham?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across County Durham to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How often should strip curtains in Consett be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Consett?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
