In short
Strip curtains are the simplest way to part-close a busy opening in Cambridge (CB1). Hook-on strips make wear easy to deal with, ribbed strips cope with forklifts, and polar grades keep working in freezers.

What to specify
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
Jobs we can carry out
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
Traffic route rules that apply in Cambridge
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Access, phasing and timing
Most installations in Cambridge can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Questions from businesses in Cambridge
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Cambridge?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Cambridgeshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Cambridgeshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Cambridge site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
